The Society of Indian Academics in America (SIAA) was founded in 1988 as a not-for-profit organization for the purpose of bringing together academics of Indian origin working in the colleges, universities and research institutions of the United States and Canada in order to promote the professional advancement and to preserve and propagate the cultural heritage of its members. as This purpose is being achieved through various activities, outlined in the Constitution of SIAA, such as organizing lectures and seminars, offering college level courses in Sanskrit, Hindi & other Indian languages, offering scholarships, etc. Suggestions and comments are quite welcome.
